MY LIFE 2/16/10

MAN ITS COLD! IT SOO COLD HERE IN ATLANTA TODAY! I will be so glad when spring arrives I don't like the cold especially when I'm homeless. I had a good night's sleep in the shelter last night I'm learning to sleep amid all the chaos, when I came in last night they were serving soup but they made us eat it outside in the cold you just never know what to expect when you get there every night anything could happen rules change all the time I'm just happy that the gates are open most nights. I usually arrive after 7pm because that's when the gates open back up when its cold like it is now you'd better get there right after 7 because it fills up fast. lately I've been sleeping in this huge dining hall that we call the kitchen you see a few people have figured out that the the kitchen is better than sleeping in the dorm, in the dorm you have to sleep in these rooms with about 30 other homeless men to whom bathing is not a top priority. it stinks and its loud and when guys take off their shoes and they haven't showered in a month its pure hell. so I've learned to come after all of those rooms are filled that way I get the kitchen. we sleep on cots in the kitchen and they're about 10 inches apart, I pray every night that the guys next to me doesn't snore or have stinky feet
