MY LIFE 2/18/10

I ARRIVED IN ATLANTA EXACTLY 3 MONTHS AGO TODAY NOT KNOWING ANYONE OR WHERE I WAS GOING TO STAY. BUT I'M HERE AND I'M SURVIVING, SOUL SURVIVING. I GOT A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP LAST NIGHT DESPITE ALL THE CHAOS IN THE KITCHEN THERE WAS A FIGHT AND A FRIEND OF MINE GOT KICKED OUT, I Changed my medications and I feel much better today the cold medicine was apparently interfering with my high blood pressure medications. I changed to tylenol p.m. so that I can sleep through all of the noise, also they don't turn off the lights so you have to sleep with these glaring lights in your face. but i've gotten use to it now its amazing what the body and mind can adjust to. like i've had to adjust to not being able to shower everday also not being able to wash my clothes but once a week, when I first moved into the shelter I didn't wash my clothes for almost 3 weeks and these were the clothes I was wearing I didn't shower for almost 10 daze the cold weather kept be from being just unbearable. but I know where I can take a shower in the city now, also I joined a program at the samaritian house but you had to attend all of these classes before they would let you take a shower or wash your clothes but they would feed you breakfast, figure that one out! I literally beg the staff to please let me wash my clothes but they wouldn't so I had to go to this place called gateway where they will let you take a shower and wash your clothes if you have the money for the machines which I didn't so I settled for showering and then putting on the same clothes washing my underwear as i showerd. i'm not knocking the samaratin house because at least I got a good breakfast every morning and thats great.so now that i've completed the program at least I get to wash my clothes once a week. so today i'm clean, i also hit the lottery today! 10 dollars! on the fantasy 5 so i'm having a good day i'm on my way to a meeting a A.A. meeting the white one. my time is up later.
