RANDOM THOUGHTS
SUNSHINE AND BLUE SKIES! Man it’s a beautiful day in Atlanta, now this is my kinda weather! Marta the train system here is single-tracking this weekend and its getting on my nerves, trains are using the same track so we have to wait a long time for the train. I don't know why but I got upset when a guy on the train started talking loudly about Jesus this morning. it seems to me that black people are always talking about god or Jesus and they're usually the first one's to curse you out or knock you in the head or break into your house! There’s a church on every corner in the black neighborhood and it seems like a crime being committed in the next block. To me there's something wrong with that. In a section of Atlanta called east point a young black man was gunned down the other day over a cell phone yet within a few blocks there's several black churches. Then again maybe I’m wrong; it might just be my thought process. I was attending an A.A. meeting last night where the young people were in charge and what came to my mind was the absence of young blacks. There were plenty of whites but only one young black girl; I see that all the time in the fellowship blacks are underrepresented at meetings from southern California to Texas to Georgia. Question, do you think we are underrepresented when it comes to alcohol and drug use? O.K now that’s what I’m talking about.
