THANKFUL
ITS been a good day, I want to talk about a couple of things that I observed. first in midtown leaving the library I came upon a young man in a wheelchair with his nurse, he had obviously had an injury maybe playing sports I don't know but it was painful to watch him struggle, the nurse not helping in everything as if trying to teach independence. I reflected, here I am complaining about staying in a shelter last night with stinking feet and loud snoring, I'm ashamed of myself, how blessed I am! I thought about TEDDY PENDERGRASS who had to spend the last 28 years of his life in a whellchair and i'm complaining about being homeless a couple of years?? #2 while waiting for the train at peachtree station a black man dropped about 5 pennies out of his pocket, well I was standing there talking to a tourist from holland and we both reach down and picked up the coins and offerd them up to the brother, he turned them down as if to say "I don't want no pennies" we were both shocked, I took the pennies, i'm gonna write a story about all the money I find on the ground here in atlanta, I average about 50 cents a day in mostly pennies, but the point is the brother who didn't look rich wouldn't bend down to pick up his own pennies that he dropped out of his own pocket. the tourist who was on his way to buy an apple computer so he was not broke was bending down to pick them up! I see this everyday poor people won't pick up pennies! one day i'm gonna hit the lottery with the pennies I find on the ground in atlanta!#3 I attended an N.A. meeting tonight in the hood and the leader of the meeting had a negative topic and vibe and someone shared this. HONESTY WITHOUT COMPASSION IS CRUELTY. have a great night! GOD BLESS!
