ARTHUR ASHE
I JUST finished reading " days of grace" by ARTHUR ASHE and it was a great read Mr ASHE was a classy, intelligent, thoughtful, well read man. he was a rare breed especially when it comes to athletes, he loved his family I was so moved by the last chapter where he wrote to his daughter. that was great. and the guy really took care of his money he retired and died comfortably. I remember in 1975 my brother WILLIE JOE and I watched as Arthur defeated JIMMY CONNORS at WIMBLEDON we were sooo proud and happy when Arthur won, it was one helluva match and I believe it was the 1st time that a black man had won the finals. I finished my fast, I feel great today. on my way to a bar-b-Que at the SAMARITAN house. I've just started on the book"KAFFIR BOY" the true story of growing up in apartheid in SOUTH AFRICA. gotta go eat some Que!! GO GHANA!!!!!!
