BLACK SMOKE

MAN I swear it seems like every black man i pass on the streets here in Atlanta is smoking a cigarette.  its unbelievable! I mean i can count the number of black men who don't smoke on one hand where i live. its unreal.  I get up every morning and leave the building around 5.45am to go work-out and when i step outside there are dozens of black men and a few whites out there smoking.  I have to cover my face to keep from inhaling too much of the poisonous gas.  they look and act like just what they are and that is DOPE ADDICTS!   gotta get up early in the morning to get that fix.  a couple of guys risk smoking in the dorm knowing that if they're caught they will be evicted, I'm praying that they are caught soon because the smoke kills me! there's a hospital here in the Atlanta metro area that says they will start testing for nicotine and will not hire anyone who smokes, GOOD!  I think all companies that test for illegal drugs should test for nicotine also, both are dangerous drugs that cost American companies billions of dollars.    I had a disagreement with a college professor who stated that the reason black men die sooner than other groups was because of 'lack of health insurance'.   that's bull......t   and just another excuse.  in my opinion the reason is an unhealthy lifestyle,  very few brothers that i meet are concerned about their health, they just don't care. starting with cigarettes, it needs to be treated as a dangerous addictive drug and the people who smoke need to be looked at just as people look at CRACKHEADS!  I believe then it will gradually start to change.
