THE DROP OUT RATE

I'M  attending the fatherhood program here at school and today the instructor told us the graduation rate for black males in Atlanta was 34%,  34%!!  for Christ sakes!  WHAT!!  that's unbelievable!  you're telling me that 66% of black males are not finishing HIGH SCHOOL!  how did this happen?  well i will tell you the #1 reason in my opinion.  We don't value education, period end of story.  I was just in the library here at school trying to get a head start on the next quarter so I'm trying to study my math, well some ignorant disrespectful Negroes are in the library talking loud about football and rapp i mean no respect for anyone else who's trying to study and then this black women comes in to look at facebook with her child and the kid is loud and disruptive so i can't concentrate, now you have all of this noise where people are trying to study and it seems like the librarians don't really care. someone other than a black person have to get us to respect each other because we don't care. we don't even have decency and common courtesy, indeed a lot of us act, look and live like animals. Last night here in Atlanta a black man shot another black over a 12 pack of beer,  guess what? these are the guys who're dropping outta school who are committing these crimes! I was at an A.A. meeting last week and i commented on how few young blacks are getting sober as compared to whites.  and a white man stated "well its o.k. to be an addict in the black community its accepted"   it pissed me off but i kept my cool (by the way he lives in a shelter down the street)  but the more i think about it the more i believe he was right.  its o.k. to speak bad English in the black community, its o.k to walk around with your pants around your knees, its o.k not to mow your lawn, its o.k to curse loud and be disrespectful its o.k if you drop outta school so yes maybe he was right.  and just maybe the people at the library made me so angry until i wanna write something hateful to get revenge or to blow off some steam.
