MADAME C.J. WALKER

' ON HER OWN GROUND'  that's the book that i just finished written by her great granddaughter A'LELIA BUNDLES.  But when i returned the book yesterday the library was closed!  WHAT! no book to read for a whole day!  ya kidding me!  i thought of just jumping in front of the train!  maybe not. the library was closed because of VETERANS DAY and that means free food for veterans all over the city. WOW!  I went crazy!  first stop HOOTERS!  ha! ha!  you don't think I'd skip that one do you?   well i went to the one that's downtown and i had a ball flirting with all the girls and talking smack to the Baltimore raven fans who were so sure they were gonna win,  but they lost!!   man what a big win for the falcons looks like they're for real! they passed a big test last night, the upcoming game with GREEN BAY is gonna be a game to see.  well i left HOOTERS and i was so full that i walked from arts center to mid-town station trying to get my food to digest, it worked, i barely made it to the restroom with not a second to spare! can you imagine?  don't.  so i hopped back on the train to DUNWOODY and went to outbacks and then on to Applebee's   man! was i full! i was walking like a 8 month pregnant woman.  once again congratulations to the FALCONS

  1. Hello Mr. Matheney,
What a nice surprise to see that you've just finished reading On Her Own Ground! I just wanted to let you know that I'm at work on the sequel: a biography of Madam Walker's daughter, A'Lelia Walker (1885-1931) and her life in New York during the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s.
