AN INTERESTING LIFE
I RECENTLY started to attend the 7:30 am A.A. meeting at my clubhouse, I discovered this meeting during the snow and ice storm a couple of weeks ago. its a great meeting and its a great way to start your day. well this morning a man who had 14 years of sobriety shared something that touched me. he shared that during his years of staying sober he's had some really tough years but that lately he's been looking at it in a different way. instead of saying that it was terrible and how that he had suffered and that he'd went through a lot of trials and tribulations he just said that he has an INTERESTING life. It caught my attention cause that can help me get through my tough situation. instead of talking about my homelessness and despair and my desperate financial and living conditions i can just say that I'm living an INTERESTING life, and i am, i don't know whats gonna happen from day to day i have to take it as it comes, i could be going along during fine one minute and the next be fighting for my life, which has happened since I've been here. my life can be best described as never having a dull moment. I recently found out that we could use the library at the college next door, so i can use it on Sundays now cause my school is closed on that day, man what a difference that extra day of studying makes! i put in about 2 hours yesterday and got a good understanding of the math that were doing now. the college is a regular liberal arts college so i believe the students and faculty are of a different caliber. thank GOD for my sobriety and the rooms of A.A. have a great day!
