DOGWOOD FESTIVAL AND FREAKNIK

THIS was my first time seeing what they call here in atlanta freaknik and man it was wild! and I mean wild! but I wanna talk about the DOGWOOD festival and i don't have a lot of time plus this is the first time that i'm typing like I should but now i've swithced back i'm too slow doing it the right way. at the DOGWOOD festival I noticed that OVER 50%  of the black males were gay,  it just blew my mind! in my 55 years on this earth and keep in mind i've lived in california most of my life including san francisco i've never seen anything like what i saw this weekend.  it' was unbelievable! it was heartbreaking, i don't have anything against gay people but it hurts me to see so many of our black men gay! i'm sorry,  I became deppressed, it was so sad. and there was as many openly gay black women as black men. I met this lady from NEW YORK and we were walking and talking and we sat down by the lake and was enjoying the view when a black couple (man and women) walk up and we both stated that it was so nice to see a black couple together. and thats a shame! what is wrong with my race! what is wrong with my people! I don't recognize em anymore! this is not the same race I grew up with!  there's no shame, no morals, no class, nothing.  and these are the same people always talking about god and the church.  we as black people in my mind at least have always thought of ourselfs as closer to god than any other race. I saw a few gay white people but it was no where near not even close to the amount of gay black people.  indeed most of the couples who were out there this weekend were white. my friend from new york also commented about at the playground for kids there were only white women and there children no blacks could be seen. but when it came to black men wearing there pants around their knees and showing their asses we were well represented.  in another 100 years black people are gonna be extinct at this rate.  this just kills me it hurts so bad!
